I haven’t posted in awhile. The pandemic has had me kind of burnt out. BUT, I’m starting my first zoom story this week and I’m excited for the first time in awhile because I’ll actually see some of the kids!
Books:
Since it’ll be the first zoom story time for the kids I’m sticking to really simple books and cutting it down to two.

What Could be Keeping Santa? by Marilyn Janovitz is a fun, rhyming text–which always helps keep the kiddos attention.
10 Trim-the-Tree’ers by Janet Schulman and Linda Davick is a simple counting book with a multiracial group of characters.
Song:
Do you hear the reindeer tapping on the roof?
Tap, tap, tap, tap, tapping on the roof.
Do you hear the reindeer tapping on the roof?
Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.
Dasher and Dancer are tapping on the roof,
Tap, tap, tippy tippy tap.
Prancer and Vixen are tapping on the roof,
Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.
Donner and Blizten are tapping on the roof,
Tap, tap, tippy tippy tap.
Here comes Rudolph, tapping on the roof,
Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.
Do you hear the reindeer tapping on the roof?
Tap, tap, tap, tap, tapping on the roof.
Do you hear the reindeer tapping on the roof?
Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.

Song:
Toss Your Scarves
Toss your scarves, toss your scarves
Toss them way up high.
Toss your scarves up in the air,’til they reach the sky.
Wave your scarves, waves your scarves,
Twirl them round and round.
Twirl your scarves one more time, then let them all fall down.
Song:
Dance Like Snowflakes
Tune: Brother John
Dance like snowflakes
Dance like snowflakes
In the air
In the air.
Whirling, twirling snowflakes
Whirling, twirling snowflakes
Here and there
Here and there
Flannel Story:

Tune: Mary Wore a Red Dress
Santa wore a green suit, green suit, green suit, Santa wore a green suit all day long.
…Oh no Santa that’s not right.
Santa wore a red suit, red suit, red suit.
Santa wore a red suit all night long.
