For my Tween Meet Up this month we will be making little felt emoji pillows that can be hung up or tossed on a chair or bed. We’ll also be making little back pack and/or purse emojis.
For the pillows I started off tracing a paper plate onto two pieces of bright yellow felt.
I printed off an emoji and cut it into pieces to use as templates for the face.
I taped the pieces down on the felt and cut around them to have clean lines.
Then I hot glued the pieces onto the the face. I pinned together the two yellow pieces, left an opening to fill with poly fiber and then did a running stitch with a big needle around the outside. I made sure the knots were on the inside.
For the purse/backpack emoji, I hot glued the eyes on and free cut the eyebrows and mouth and hot glued them as well. I used a needle to pull a string through the pom pom to hang from the backpack.
